May 23rd, 2008 Hello! And welcome to the final week of Punks and Nerds. The final strip should count out to be it's 350th, which was the goal I initially gave the comic for it to reach completion. However, life took over and things really screwed up around here, making the end of the series become delayed by about a year and a half. Sure, the comic could've ended much sooner, but 350... It just sounds much more appealing than 289. Oh well. What does this mean? Am I ending webcomics? Sort of. I am done with the ads, the merchandise, the large amount of time promoting the things, and instead I will open up a blog-ish website where I will upload pages of comics, not just strips, to form mini-stories. Some stories might take 24 pages, while others might go as long as 150. I will not have a steady update, but I do hope to get myself together and update such a site at least once every two weeks. It wouldn't be 1 page every two weeks, but maybe 3-4 pages at one update, every two weeks, so when you do get an update, it won't feel very lacking. I won't intend to make merchandise off of the future projects. The only thing I might make would be book collections. I will be returning to finish the Stubble book, something I started last summer, but got halted by my daytime job. I will probably then go to work on another Punks and Nerds book anthology, but since I'll probably go through LuLu, everything will be in black and white. Sorry! In the end, I have learned a hell of a lot working on Punks and Nerds, and I feel it allowed me to experiment on humor, characters, plot and even coloring (such as when things turned to black, white, and red)! I feel with all the years of working on webcomics (I started back in 1999!) that I am now ready to give you even better stories. So stick around! After Punks and Nerds ends, everything will turn into a central hub of my work, and you'll be able to find the new material easily. Thanks for all the memories! -Josh
