I remember when the Punks and Nerds wikipedia entry was made, but kind of confused when an entry about myself was put up there. I just noticed while checking my links that people are coming to this comic through it, and on top it was told that the article needs to be cleaned up to match a better standard of quality. So I don't know what that means, but maybe someone here does. Sooo. I dunno. Fix it up or something. But if anything, Punks and Nerds' could totally use some updating as well. :D

Hahaha. I'm a horrible person today. Sorry Jeph, I was totally dared into this.

More importantly, please note I am not making fun of suicide, but both Questionable Content and myself. Suicide is of course a serious issue, and people have been affected and traumatized by it. It is a horrible thing to deal with. I did not make this because I think it would be funny to laugh at something so horrific. God no.

The joke is what? Spite? No, that's not it. I'm not jealous or spiteful toward anyone online. It's more simply satire. I've made fun of other pop culture references, and the only difference here is that this pop culture reference is by something that's created by a peer of mine. As well as something that's seriously loved by a huge chunk of the audience I also share. So this is a bigger risk to make fun of. So I wanted to reverse it and say, "My jokes are crude and fucked up here at Punks and Nerds, and that's why I'm not the kind of person you'd want to draw and write about sexual tension created from a fear to be close to loved ones as a result from suicide... Because this is probably how I'd do."

QC has become filled with a lot of serious shit going on right now, and I just could not ignore the reason why Marten and Faye are not getting together. Poo on that I say! Let me destroy the foundation of these two characters and write them completely out of character. It's total satire, and a typical learn how to laugh at yourself. So now that I've "attacked" QC, that means the door is open and I might easily do this to other online comics. And please note, these are never personal.
